Top tune! I Love the simple structre and relaxing dubby acid.. Impressive that you manage to make it with only assembler. 10/10 D. | User Comment Submitted by MMS_Z on 30 March 2020
Nice tune.
Just FYI I recently started to use VLC media player for the typical SIDs, very capable player (next to the fact, one of the best (video) media players on PC). I was kind of shocked when I noticed it in the Readme file of the VLC, and performs much better than the WinAMP's SID module.
It plays this SID tune well. | User Comment Submitted by Frantic on 29 May 2010
@Ian: Ok.. sorry. I know that you made an attempt not so long ago, but I somehow got the impression that you considered this attempt failed and that this was left hanging in the air again. Sorry for whining and thanks for taking the time. :) | User Comment Submitted by iAN CooG on 28 May 2010
@frantic: I thought I've already told you on #c-64 that this was fixed and it's already in HVSC53 update pack.
Happens that one of the tools doesn't (yet) support all the illegal opcodes so it warns about it. Fixing it required some additional and manual work but now it's declared ok and added.
@groepaz: Sidplay2/w (if you mean that) isn't related to our checking tools, and anyway if a sid reads outside the load range from locations not initialized as expected, it WILL produce unexpected results, so until a better init isn't added to the program it won't work.
And no, I have no use of something written in Java, and not only for racism: it doesn't run here :) | User Comment Submitted by chatGPZ on 28 May 2010
"Actually it's ripped since day 1, but still has lots of errors (bad reads, illegal instructions executed and whatnot) and not fixed so far by anyone so can't be included."
maybe you guys should finally bury that sidplayer from stoneage and use jsidplay as a reference instead =) | User Comment Submitted by Radiant on 28 May 2010
Nice tune! And impressive codework. :-) | User Comment Submitted by Frantic on 28 May 2010
So, basically.. What you are saying is that HVSC does not accept players with illegal ops in them? Weird! AFAIK there are no "bugs" in this tune, from a coding point of view. | User Comment Submitted by iAN CooG on 17 January 2010
Actually it's ripped since day 1, but still has lots of errors (bad reads, illegal instructions executed and whatnot) and not fixed so far by anyone so can't be included.

Putting sids that probably won't work is against HVSC policy =) | User Comment Submitted by Frantic on 2 August 2007
Still not ripped by the HVSC crew. :) I guess playsid doesn't support CIA timers in enough detail to emulate the pseudo-random sequencing used in this tune? |
