It was a case of finding the mode which let me best implement my idea. Even though only 3 colours are used, without FLI, there wouldn't be as much flexibility with sprite priorities. I've wanted to do something like this for a while, but AFLI wasn't powerful enough. UFLI is only needed in small areas, but since it's a standalone picture and memory is not an issue, why not :)

I like the motive a lot. As for the 3 colors UFLI, the end justifies the means, so I don't mind at all.
