The original I used was not protected with Timex. Legend's screenshot shows the "Protection: Timex" in the loading picture. The protections mentioned in their scrolltext were definetly not present on my original.

Apparently this is not the original that was sold in stores. Perhaps this was a pre-release? The disk featured only a loader file in the directory, and the game was protected by checking for a signature on track 36.

As for the trainers, I was under the impression that you needed the 8 items within the game. Apparently the object is to collect them in a certain order, which would seem to render the trainer as unnecessary. Perhaps it is better as a +3 version.

This release would never have been done if I'd known that it was put out already, I was looking for a "Guardian Tomb" on the databases :) However since the work is already done, here it is :) One more for the databases.

Well, I know for a fact that pwp cracked it from the real original... I just checked the ADH version, but its different from wdr, hoodlums and cab versions, which in essence are all the same.

@burglar: Enno, I think the same,
Most likely that game was cracked from the already deprotected golden disc edition by mad/adh (Graham). Which is the only working "pseudo" original-version of it which you can find at http://www.c64-mags.de/

Even Legend couldn't crack it properly back then I really doubt it was taken from the original disc. It is a bit tricky to do from the original on the original machine anyway.

btw. the counting of trainers is a bit strange...

exactly, the 0810-1000 area is the same as in the Hoodlums and CAB cracks. So I suspect someone spread a nonprotected original, or precracked, I dunno. or maybe golden disk rereleased it without timex protection and the other tricks they used in the real original.

It was cracked from "Golden Disk".

If you check $0800-$1000 it is not the same version as Legend/NEI released.

Wasnt there a game intro included to this game? and please do d64s and not prg-files to keep your original filename.

I checked Pokefinder, GB and CSDB before attempting this crack. Only after I finished it did I realize it was named Gordian Tomb not Guardian Tomb :)

Press 1-8 in game to select the objects on the lower part of the screen.

If you use the object cheats, the start of the game may have you walking onto the screen from the right hand side. This corrects itself and doesn't affect the gameplay.

The workdisk is extracted game data off the original disk, and my trainer code. (SRC=Source, BKP=Backup)
