yes might have been too easy, still my young kids would have enjoyed to play co-op. I am always looking for easy games so they can get used to handle a joystick.

@ready.
only against each other (up to five at a time) in multiplayer, co-op, strongly reduced the number of enemies and the game was that too easy.

All right Skull, that's real good news! If the game makes it before Christmas I will prepare a floppy containing the game to put under the Christmas tree for my wife. Will it have also two player cooperative mode or just two player one against each other? Looking forward to it.

Next version? Great! I had almost forgotten about this one :)

Please keep it to a single file prg if possible so I can play it easily on my MMC-REPLAY (or at least leave it so I can contain the D64 in a DFI file) ;)

I PM'ed doZe/Samar a couple weeks ago about how the multiplayer version is coming along (since I've also contributed to it ;)), he said he and Skull ARE working on it and it's not cancelled or anything, it's just taking quite a while. Commitments will be the reason why.

Wow!!Great game! My wife usually is not C64 addicted and complains about me always being on my C64. Guess what? She became even more addicted than me on Bomberman64!!

i like this game very much, its a great game but with a little improvment as bomberman theme song, more levels and multi players, this would kick seriouse ass and be up there among oceans and images killer games!...

and what about bomberman c64 contruction set, where you can make your own levels?..

Linus, you're a lamer too.. And my dad is stronger than yours - and and.. my filters are better than yours... and .. where was I?.. ;)

Submitted by Sixx on 22 January 2007
Great conversion! Music sucks tho, should have been the classic Bomberman theme.

@Laxity: It doesn't surprise me at all you don't recognize how bad they really are, lamer. Go ahead, rip Hubbard's player again instead of sharing your -wrong- opinion! ;)

what's wrong with the filters? I didn't notice anything being WRONG with them. If you'd like some really lame filters I'd like to help. I can even show you how to screw up the whole tune.

@nata:
Sidder composed the note tune.

@chronos:
Good luck with making the plus4 version! =)

Lol, we're working currently on the commodore plus4 version of this game :)

Our game differs from this one, it will be a max. 4 player computer/real player version with 10 levels.

props to samar! :)

Nice game... Nata, you're are for some reason not very constructive in your way of giving critique, eventhough I guess you mean well... I think the music I have heard from you CRD has been really good... It is nice to see a new musician entering the scene and focusing his energy on the melodic parts as you do...

Submitted by Linus on 21 January 2007
... way more skilled than a lot of other musicians. I seriously doubt he needs any advice on how to do filters 'right' as that is a matter of taste anyway.
User Comment
Submitted by Scout on 21 January 2007
@Nata: IMO, CRD is skilled enough. =P
User Comment
Submitted by Conrad on 21 January 2007
@Nata: It's up to you if you want to modify the filters or not.
I only had a couple days to write the music (from scratch) and I wasn't fully swithced on to try and make a good piece, so I would expect someone to comment the music would be a bit crap.
Plus, the only version of Bomberman I've played before was Dynablaster on the Amiga, so I didn't know whether or not that was the original song anyway.

Thx for comments!
Multiplayer mode coming soon ...:)
The game code can use many players (all properties player are indexed - teoretical in game may play even 256 players), but sprite's count is the limit (2 sprites for every player)
Ulitmate, game will be use 5 players : 4x joy (CGA interface is implemented) - 1 keyboard (i'll try to make player's sprites mulitplexer)
Now, i can bidding previous version game called "boombastic benny", it has good multiplayer mode for 3 players!

What about "the best score" competition?:P

ps. sorry, but my english is weak.

wow! great piece of conversion! I loved playing that game with my friendz on Amiga these dayz (up to 5 players)...

but agree to radiantx, multiplayer mode was the most important feature of the game...
if you'll need a multi-joyport, let me know - I still have my working 8-port prototype here (done in 1990),
where you're able to have up to 8 joystick ports at same time... (c;

anyway, great conversion! good job! :)

Excellent game. Awesome music and it would have made a great commercial title for the good old C64. Why not draw a loading picture, and get it tape mastered for Cronosoft :) It's up to you anyway. Once again, well done.
