Cosine Logo - Rollover/WEC

Created 1999
Face Painter/Syllinor/Chromance

Released 31st December 1999

The idea behind Cosine Logo - Rollover, was to give the illusion of an illuminated Cosine logo hanging on the side of a monolith. To emphasize this, various structures including a crane, living quarters, and communication tower were added to the horizon. Sun rising, sun setting, it doesn’t matter, as this place works twenty four seven.

At the time of creating the logo, no part had been designed. Only on viewing Rollover/Cosine the demo pt. did I get the chance to see the logo’s application. It was a pleasant surprise, as the part, featuring huge grey blocks, looked industrial. With the addition blue and magenta rasters, an illusion could have been generated to give the impression the logo as making use of both side borders.
