Dead and buried in the great history book, dreaming the great dream of the afterlife.
Hope to see more of this stuff from you and that this was not the final work.

C'mon a journey with me into the land of the dead
Through the voices and mangled bodies and severed heads
Children all there pray together, seeking out the light
After death will there be suffocating, self inflicted torture, severe pain

i think this picture should have won, it's so emotional in a wonderful style.

i also agree to yazoo's comment about the voting. i didnt expect to win the compo with my picture, but im ofcourse glad that i did and there is not much to do about the voting at parties. in the end i think the voting here at csdb means alot more then the voting at a demoparty. nuff said.

It seems like the picture has a dark and grim mood but it actually puts a smile on my face. Disturbing, by all of its positive meaning.

@hoild... i know my pic doesnt rock da house and i didnt expect it to be on top5. but ppl voted it up to the 2nd place and i wont complain about that. what i absolutely dont like is all the whining about competition results... if you want to influence compo results the way you would like to have them - just attend at the parties and give your vote. nuff said

@dcmp - nice picture. somehow simple but it impressed me - well done

A sweet and tranquil picture, drawn in a style so seldom used on this platform.

And yet another proof on the flawed evaluation skillz by compo voters -- this should NOT have made it as low as a mere 7th place given the quality of certain other entries.
-Dear DCMP, looks like if you wanna woo the compo voters, you better convert some bigtits.jpg next time. And use LOTS of colours -- the more garish, the better... :[[[

Wonderful composition. DCMP's pictures often make me feel something, which is rare among C64 artists.
