Indeed, originally Vladyslav Yerko made this illustration. I wrote about this fact in the 'Perfect Pixels' collection. But it's not a convert, rather a simple copy (like the attached workstages.gif shows).

Hm, it looks more like a copy than a conversion to me... there are some differences in facial structure, etc. Here's the original if anyone wants to see it: http://www.snowqueen.us/images/Snow_queen_large.jpg

This picture is a beautiful convertion of Vladyslav Yerko's illustration for HC Andersen's "The Snow Queen", published 2005, UK.
Leon simplifies some details and leave the child out of the image and redefines some things in the background amongst more.

I really like this one! I didn't notice the houses until I checked the workstages. My focus was totally on the face. The workstages made me like the picture even more! Great work!

Can't say I like this as much as your latest pics. But there's thin air at your level anyway. ;-)

@Archmage: I second that. Hehe.. The workstage progression is baffling, to say the least. :)

Time to move along, Leon, try yourself at drawing architecture. It will be quite an experience to draw perspective after so much copying of px and photos by others.

That's very cool Leon! Please, yes... upload workstages! It's not a matter of belief/disbelief.... people just want to see how it's done! It's all about the process, if it wasn't then we'd do graphics on a PC. :)

Her right eye is so smooth, I wish the left had the same degree of smoothness. Also, her face... but that looks like it's a hard color scale to work with! Great job. :) Reminds me of an ice princess or something.

Here comes another ifli picture by me dudes! To test the updated pixel perfect v1.1 abilities! ;_) Not scanned or converted stuff, if you don't believe, I will create and upload the workstages.gif sometime! ;_) Write comments, cast your votes and be delighted of this little work...
