I am referring to the general case, tons of releases exist in the db where someone is added as a releaser, although he is totally unrelated (ie, just the original cracker, and someone else linked another intro - similar to this one)

It's always wrong. But I guess sometimes it's not as obviously incorrect as here. What special cases are you referring to?

This was released by 5211 in 1988. Oleander had since long left the scene by then, thus had absolutely nothing to do with it, so stop adding him as co-releaser!
The same goes for all other old cracks trained & re-released years later.
