this demo was the first time we had used multiple charsets. They were required to get the diversity of large objects from the ST version in. Each charset had a set of common "filler" small objects that were used to create "buffer" screens either side of a charset swap for the big items. charsets were swapped on "flag chars" embedded in the graphics and read from the top left char as it scrolled (yes it was originally intended to scroll both ways like the real game).
We were so chuffed with ourselves for coming up with this "revolutionary" concept :)
