Title
-----
Lilith

Description
-----------
Originally I thought of this picture as "Sin" and was inspired by Franz von Stuck's painting "The Sin": http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Image:Franz_von_Stuck_004.jpg. However I eventually grew to feel that she was more of a Lilith, especially after seeing John Collier's rendition of the archetype: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lilith. The imagery is old and perhaps not particularly original, but this is my take on it. :)

I started this in 2000. I wanted to finish it specifically for Roman who always liked it and spoke highly of it. Dedicated to you, stúpenec.

Program(s) & Hardware Used to Create
------------------------------------
Created 95% on C128 via Koala Paint, Koala Pad, & Drazlace
Final two hours done in Project One (ran out of time for compo!!!)

Reference Works and/or Workstages
---------------------------------
Workstages included as animated GIF. The serpent wasn't based on any existing creature. Referred to basic female anatomy for the nude, but not based on any one particular pose.

Miscellaneous
-------------
"Don't say you love me if you don't need me"

- Mazzy Star
"Be My Angel"

"Betrayal is a careless brutality. Give those you respect the dignity of communication, or remove yourself from their presence."
