Player Updated to Version 4.2 (Sierra) works fine so far! Thanks Mr.Sid for this awesome Player. | User Comment Submitted by Stainless Steel on 22 September 2009
Fuck it. I went and coded my own Windows version (C# na na naaa). I might even release it eventually. It's still a little beta but is mostly feature complete. | User Comment Submitted by Laxity on 22 September 2009
Only recently got a mac.. and found this one by chance.. OMFG.. This is good!.. I'll never be using my PC for sid playback again ;) | User Comment Submitted by booker on 28 August 2009
Leave it OSX only! - at least there's a reason to get me a Mac :D | User Comment Submitted by Kristian on 28 August 2009
What Stainless Steel said. | User Comment Submitted by Shokray on 28 August 2009

i have a mac and i actually like this version!! it has ace export functions to output straight to mp3, aiff. | User Comment Submitted by Ed on 27 May 2008
Some funny sid filter settings, but in general this sound worse than older versions.
6581 R4? No way! | User Comment Submitted by Inge on 16 April 2008
No offence, Andreas! I've barely had the time to look at the source. ;-) | User Comment Submitted by Mr. SID on 16 April 2008
It's not so much the language but the framework. There's really no choice here. You can't do something like this in C# or C++ on the Mac. And Objective-C rules them both anyway... :)
Inge, let me know if you need some help. | User Comment Submitted by Inge on 16 April 2008
Except that Andreas has used Objective-C (blargh) for the source, so it may need some tweaking. | User Comment Submitted by SIDWAVE on 16 April 2008
If Inge/HVSC don't port this as he said he will (he has a real life and work etc.) - well then, how hard can it be ? gimme the code and jpg files of GUI, and well, it shouldn't be too hard with MS-VS2008.. | User Comment Submitted by Mace on 16 April 2008
Ah, another reason for me to buy a Mac.
Still 249 to go and I might really get one. | User Comment Submitted by Mr. SID on 16 April 2008
It took me about 400 hrs to create this version. A version for Windows would probably take me twice as long (less Win32 experience, worse APIs, more testing necessary). My hourly rate is 70 euros. So the Windows version will cost about 56000 euros. I have a PayPal link on the webpage, start donating now... ;) | User Comment Submitted by Stainless Steel on 16 April 2008
Now don't go and spoil DeeKay's exclusivity here. He's finally got something we don't :-D
| User Comment Submitted by Ed on 16 April 2008
Looks extremely nice & sexy. Now go port. We have iTunes on Windows you know :P | User Comment Submitted by Steppe on 15 April 2008
Bah, this is just another example of suppression of us poor Win32 losers. Racists...! ;-) | User Comment Submitted by Stainless Steel on 15 April 2008
Mac only ? Deekay must be having a boner of steel over this!
| User Comment Submitted by Frantic on 15 April 2008
hey! the best sidplayer so far, on an ordinary wednesday... installed it on my machine at work at once, of course. | User Comment Submitted by LordNikon on 15 April 2008
