The most amusing thing about this gamebook conversion is that the original version, Seas of Blood, allready exists in C-64 form. Some other books from Jackson/Livingstone have been converted aswell - Forest of Doom, Citadel of Chaos and Rebel Planet. This conversion and engine is by far the nicest I have ever seen done on a C-64 concerning gamebook rendering. Too bad that he chose a german version of rather dull book. For a pirate-adventure - Bloodbones is more like it.

Concerning the game, it looks well designed and playable.
Can't focus to read the actual text on the screen but that's my problem considering I almost finished a bottle of wine.

surprisingly high quality "interactive book" type of adventure. looks like a nice exercise in level packing to me *hint* :o) |
