Don't you just hate it when you've just finished your ultra-super-hyper-booze-design-beating-megademo with some nice directory art, and suddenly discover a small bug you need to fix..

You recompile and bye bye dir-art that you painstakingly added..

But zOMG! Here is copyname.exe. It allows you to import filenames (not files, only the names) from one .d64 to another. So you can copy your precious dirart into your newly compiled .d64.

How does it work, you say. It's easy :

Copyname dirart.d64 files.d64 final.d64 10

dirart.d64 holds your directory art, files holds the files and final.d64 will hold the files from files.d64 with the names of dirart.d64. 10 is the number of filenames it will copy, usually you want it to copy all the filenames, so you can just use 144.

Copyname will nicely follow the dir. structure of both d64's, and skip deleted files. It even works on a mix of 35 and 40 tracks disks (but only on d64s).

Together with CC1541 it will make the ultimate xdev commandline d64 generator combo!

Have fun!
