Flex: I can assure you there's nothing "random" about the notes; they all follow set scales and patterns. If you can't hear that I have to question your musical knowledge.

As for the third place, the sound system was really heavy on the bass, really muffling a lot of tunes. The relative bass lightness in this one gave it an unfair advantage in the compo.

Love it! Nice build up and I like the chillout and redirection section at 1.45min, onwards.

Nice lead that comes in first... but what happens to the lead around 1:30 ... it totally fucks up with the chords... at least in my opnion... Otherwise a good tune...

it felt a bit like cadaver had his hands on this one, maybe because of the sounds.
ok tune, not exactly in my personal top3 though.

Heavy stuff, skillfully executed. The sounds are a bit too raw for me.

A catchy and friendly tune. Agree with some comments below, it'd have benefited from better sound enginering, but on the party sound system it sounded well. Thumbs up.

indeed, very outrunish :D i'd do something with snare, maybe make it 80s tom like fanta's one? :D anyway, nice one, however, i wouldn't place it above drax, linus, randall and _v_ and other few :)

But compo is about kicking ass! Don't be ashamed of getting to top ;-) Musicians who try to keep their high standard and image of being artist are boring! ;-))))

Actually I was a bit ambiguous about releasing this as it were. It was mostly done in the first half of 2007, for a concept demo which now will never see the light of day. It's tightly knit to the storyboard of that scrapped demo, and I feel it's lacking composition wise without that to back it up.

Still I felt like I wanted to release at least something at X, and I suspected the high energy style would go well in the compo... Not this well though. It feels like I have cheated somehow, like I sold out and now need to shower. I promise my next musical output will be something more interesting, though I guess it won't score me a high place in any compo. :-)

Thanks for all the feedback, at any rate, both positive and negative. While the positive feedback is what keeps me going, the negative feedback is what drives me to try harder the next time.</rant>

i was rather disappointed with this tune, for i do respect radiantx's skills and 'dracula' is one of the decade highlights to me. but, this piece is heavy, all over the place and that's basically everything i recognize in it. terribly sorry.

Hehe... Would have been a fitting tune in a OutRun-like game.
