@Exploding First: FLI mode should be enough for most CPC pictures since it's very close to a true 160x200 @ 16 colors mode already.
| User Comment Submitted by Exploding First on 27 November 2008
That's right, the CPC didn't have any 8x8 colour restrictions. And sometimes it is luck that a good picture comes out like this. | User Comment Submitted by Sledge on 27 November 2008
This is cool... now, someone should release a version of this game with this intro added to the loader... | User Comment Submitted by Exin64 on 26 November 2008
Yeah, you can be lucky that its just simple shapes and no anti aliasing. :) | User Comment Submitted by Tom-Cat on 26 November 2008
Very nice indeed. The CPC didn't have any 8x8 colour restrictions, right ? I.e. every pixel could be in any of the 16 colours? If so then this is even a better conversion :) | User Comment Submitted by SIDWAVE on 26 November 2008 User Comment Submitted by Exin64 on 26 November 2008 User Comment Submitted by Mr. Mouse on 26 November 2008
Disregarding the effort that obviously went into coding an Amstrad->VIC converter, why would you want to? No offense, just curious. | User Comment Submitted by Mace on 25 November 2008
Hehehe, Stainless Steel got it right ;-) | User Comment Submitted by Exploding First on 25 November 2008
The problem is known: screen size and resolution are the same but Amstrad has an other colour palette: 16 from 27. Therefore Data-Land uses an own coded programme called "GraVIC-Station". | User Comment Submitted by Stainless Steel on 25 November 2008
Dont misinterpret Scout's corny irony. | User Comment Submitted by Mace on 25 November 2008
The C64 has rather peculiar restrictions if it comes to colours in pictures.
How's that on an Amstrad?
I mean, is it very hard to convert pictures, colour-wise? | User Comment Submitted by assiduous on 25 November 2008
defo bro! keep the scene spirit alive ! | User Comment Submitted by Scout on 25 November 2008
Great scene release! Awesome! Yay! You rule! | User Comment Submitted by Stainless Steel on 24 November 2008 User Comment Submitted by Exploding First on 24 November 2008
Converted with a own coded graphic engine. Source is the Amstrad CPC title picture. Commodore 64 version never had a title pic. |
