is that salad cream on his hair? lol... such a wonderful picture! reminds me of 'sam and max' vs 'ren and stimpy' style.

Way to go, Ptoing! ;-D We'd have never imagined that anyone actually ever used Asslace, but you did it very smoothly, without much flickering, while keeping the sharpness intact! 8) In fact, Crossbow just mailed me, telling me about this! ;-D

Great ptoing style meets technical tricks. You get unusual colors, a high resolution with only very little flickering.

breathtaking on real c64. i had to rub my eyes and look again, there was something about this picture that made it look almost unreal on c64. keep it up ptoing, you rock.

I agree on Daison on this one. Nice play of resolution and this one is slightly more compelling than the other release of today. I would love to see this resolution taken one step further with the introduction of moving elements on top of the flickering grid pattern, or to enforce nuances, introduce color-splits, or anything else of similar nature.

Cheers for the replies :)

daison: The aged look is what I was going for :)

saehn: I checked the picture in normal MCI mode as well and I reall do not like how that mode jitters. Sharp details stay much sharper in Asslace than in Drazlace. Also I like how the sprites tint the whole picture. And try to check it on a real C64, looks MUCH better than on emulator :)

Great style as usual but man that Asslace is rough! At least it is on emulators, don't know how it would look on the real deal. Maybe Drazlace would have been better, but again hard to say since I can't see it. :-/

Bring back the Yuz Birds! ;-)

I like the brown dithering in the download version though. It feels 'aged' and that's pretty original imo.
