Thanks for this, it RULES! | User Comment Submitted by booker on 28 July 2009 User Comment Submitted by zabutom on 21 July 2009
thanks for all the positive feedback!! :)
@Linus: due to lack of skills and laziness, the only thing that ended up having any filter is the snare drum :)
@radiantx: oh sorry, little misunderstanding there.. i actually thought you were talking about the tune that was playing in the background at the moment from the crest slideshow (which is a cover of tim follin's 'chronos' from the zx btw, made by me and linus)
in short, THIS TUNE IS NOT A COVER!
although it's based on an XM i made. :)
and yeah it's 2x speed
big thanks to klegg for coding me a player at the last moment. you rock! | User Comment Submitted by tempest on 21 July 2009
Great to hear this C64 version, Zabu. | User Comment Submitted by Linus on 21 July 2009
Lovely as always, Niklas! But but but ... you promised to do attach some filterwork on bass and drums, no? ;) | User Comment Submitted by DRAX on 20 July 2009
Definately my favorite from the LCP... Skillfully executed :D ... | User Comment Submitted by Stainless Steel on 20 July 2009
Love the tune, much better than Goto's (But that may just be my obsession for more traditional songwriting). | User Comment Submitted by GT on 20 July 2009
I liked this tune. Should be the winner, even though GOTO80s tune was really good. But is this a cover ? I thought competition entries should be about your own compositions skills, and not others. Rastertime, multispeed or not, I don't care. Good tune! | User Comment Submitted by Radiant on 20 July 2009
booker: Actually, I can tell you what's the deal with that in this case. :-)
Klegg/Panda Design coded the replay routine, and put one of the playroutine calls at rasterline 0. $d020 actually changes colour there, but it is of course never seen. The obvious solution would've been to put the call at, say, line $20 instead and offset the other call by an equal amount, but he had been drinking beer and it was just before the deadline so he didn't, and that's it.
No intentional deception going on there!
Also, very nice tune. Zabutom told me at the party it's a cover, would be nice to have a link to the original. | User Comment Submitted by NecroPolo on 20 July 2009
...Can you feel the spirit of Tim Follin? :)
Great tune, c'grats!
The best tune in the compo. How the hell came it to be 2nd...? | User Comment Submitted by booker on 19 July 2009
Coolish grooves :)
One thing... what is this idea with multispeed tunes not to display (or tell) the actuall speeds per frame? Hmm.. | User Comment Submitted by Clarence on 19 July 2009
My personal #1 in the compo. | User Comment Submitted by Hein on 19 July 2009
Woohoo, with this tune the summer heat becomes bearable. | User Comment Submitted by psych on 19 July 2009
Excellent, fresh, groovy style! Outstanding! | User Comment Submitted by SIDWAVE on 19 July 2009
I have this as the real winner of the compo. its so groovy and colorful, and full of ideas, i really wish it was longer. |
