Does this mean that you've used the same solution as in Terminator 2 (all banks switched to 8000) and that the trainer and EasyFlash specific data is added ontop of that?

EasyFlash does always start in Ultimax mode, that's why we need a start-up code in HIROM. As the whole game resides in LOROM, I simply added the code, trainer, sprite logo etc. in the first HIROM bank, $2000 bytes in size. These $2000 bytes could be enough for a *real* intro, but a fully working game was more important for me than some more intro-glamour. That's why there's a lot of padding (and non-optimized code) in there :) Maybe the next patch comes from somebody who has a proper intro. Check out the tech docs of EasyFlash if you want to know details about the start-up.

I couldn't help noticing that the .crt image was 521k (original is 512?). Does this mean that you've used the same solution as in Terminator 2 (all banks switched to 8000) and that the trainer and EasyFlash specific data is added ontop of that?

Very good.
I will have a closer look at this new hardware.

That's an CRT image for the EasyFlash cartridge. The cartridge format and banking has been patched to be compatible to this hardware and a trainer has been added.
