Production Info

Some technical info below

REAL in memory streaming. 96 individual frames (not resequenced using repeated frames)
Realtime two stage decompression (LZ followed by Vector quantisation decode) followed by 8x8block to spritemap plot
Double buffered sprite overlay with double buffered background
Random noise & Interference effect :-) 10fps

Some additional info below

The choice of animation was not really a good idea as the animation seemed to contain many similar frames but could not bother to reprocess another animation sequence. Could have took individual frames out from the sequence used in this demonstration and resequenced frames omitting the vq decode which would be MUCH faster)

Wanted to test out the decompression system. Each frame uses around 60-150 bytes excluding the shapebank. The main processingtime killer is the VQ decode as it has to map to a 7x10 sprite overlay.
