Dunno, use real C64 or fix some emulator settings? Nobody else complained that it doesn't work on emu. I'm not responsible if something doesn't work on emulator, collection got coded on my real C64 as usual :). Cheers Krill!

For some reason no graphics will load for me. The loader sits at track 18 and will move the head for a bit when i attach either disk image in VICE, but then return to track 18 and resume idling.

What am I doing wrong?

Yes, mea culpa - the menu of collection will reset when you will move joystick in port 1. Usually while coding I'm not using joysticks, especially in port 1, so that's the reason that I didn't even supposed that it may crash the collection :) Cheers!
