My guess is most text adventures from Infocom and Magnetic Scrolls are not cracked. And you most likely will need those extra gadgets to complete those games. Also the extra goodies are fantastic to play the games. Some of the games have "ingame" protection and some you need the a map or leaflet with info. Great games to play if you have the time. I've played +10 of 'em.

I don't think this can be considered "cracked." The documentation-based protection remains in effect. The game cannot be won (in fact, it can barely be started) without the information on this pack-in form : http://infocom.elsewhere.org/gallery/stationfall/stationfall-au..

and it doesn't appear the "crackers" provided this information on disk.

I suspect this is true for a lot of "cracked" Infocom titles. Most had documentation-based inconveniences or outright protection elements like this one.
