I do remember having the "leaked files" (4 of them, one being the fountain part) long before the 50% version ever showed up (several years afterwards). This was during the days before having the Internet and a decent PC (and long before the upload on this page), so I do believe the have some kind of property of their own.

What could be interesting is if anyone finds actually WHEN they were leaked (that is, release date).

I'm not sure this should really be here in the db. It is not a release, just "leaked parts".. To me they look exactly like the ones released later in the "50%" demo. I understand it adds alot to some people with the history and all, but i suppose it falls outside the "rules" we have for releases.

Now, some explanation is needed.

Before in 1997 Taboo finally released Altered States 50%, the above files were leaked (no idea if on purpose). Nobody was supposed to spread this, but strangely everyone had it :)

I decided to upload those files here because for me they are important for the (Polish) demoscene history. I witnessed Altered States at it's premiere in Tarnow '94 party (with jaw-dropping effect on everyone present) and along with many people we were waiting impatiently for the final release... Seeing those 'secret leaked parts' kept the legend alive :)
