I do remember having the "leaked files" (4 of them, one being the fountain part) long before the 50% version ever showed up (several years afterwards). This was during the days before having the Internet and a decent PC (and long before the upload on this page), so I do believe the have some kind of property of their own.
What could be interesting is if anyone finds actually WHEN they were leaked (that is, release date). |

| I'm not sure this should really be here in the db. It is not a release, just "leaked parts".. To me they look exactly like the ones released later in the "50%" demo. I understand it adds alot to some people with the history and all, but i suppose it falls outside the "rules" we have for releases. |

Now, some explanation is needed.
Before in 1997 Taboo finally released Altered States 50%, the above files were leaked (no idea if on purpose). Nobody was supposed to spread this, but strangely everyone had it :)
I decided to upload those files here because for me they are important for the (Polish) demoscene history. I witnessed Altered States at it's premiere in Tarnow '94 party (with jaw-dropping effect on everyone present) and along with many people we were waiting impatiently for the final release... Seeing those 'secret leaked parts' kept the legend alive :) |
