Trivia Info

Emulating bird song obviously requires less advanced code than emulating Suzanne Vega -> C64MP3

;) The code is not even optimized as I released it more or less the way the code was written when it started working when I first threw it together. Could probably quite easily take half as many cycles, or even less. It doesn't even use amplitude data, other than sound on/off, and silence is achieved by setting frequency of the oscillator to 0 rather than by using ADSR stuff.

Many of the birds were taken from a cassette named "Fåglar i vår närhet" which consists of the sounds of 60 Swedish birds. Some others (towards the end) were found on the internet by Goto80.

The Swedish birds included are:
bofink
talgoxe
blåmes
kattuggla
gröngöling
spillkråka
entita
talltita
svartmes
nötväcka
gärdsmyg
grönfink
gulsparv
gräsand
tofsvipa
ormvråk
koltrast

:)
