bluREU was developed for the 1541 Ultimate ("1541U-I"). S.E.S. patched the firmware to load REU-files.
Later, the 1541 Ultimate II was released - and it came with a completely different firmware, not compatible with the previously patched firmware, and the new firmware still couldn't load REU-files. So S.E.S. also patched the firmware of the 1541U-II. This time, Gideon became fully aware of the patch and immediately included it in the next official firmware version 2.0RC7.

So to run bluREU/Crest on a 1541 Ultimate II, just use the official firmware version 2.0RC7 or newer! The firmware is available for download from the 1541U homepage http://www.1541ultimate.net/
