Release Notes - 2010-05-06
New Features
Creating Directories
Deleting Files and Directories
Renaming Files and Directories
Changes
40 columns is no longer supported in the C128 version!
Directories are now displayed using a sliding window structure. This means that occasionally as you scroll through a large directory (more than 30 records) then you will see disk activity as the software goes to retrieve more records to display.
Several bug fixes.
Known Issues
The C128 version is still very short on RAM and loading a large directory in both panels will probably cause a crash. Sorry, but I'm still working on a viable long-term solution that allows the C128 version to continue to be developed. As always, I'm looking for good solutions, possibly one using extended memory drivers for cc65 to get at bank 1.
This version has displayed some flakiness on the C128 when dealing with dialog boxes. This appears to coincide with large directories, so it's probably a memory management issue.
Release Notes - 2010-05-04
New Features
Panel navigation now complete. Scroll up and down through directories using the up and down cursor keys. Switch between panels using the left and right cursor keys.
Directory and disk image navigation now complete. Use CTRL-PLUS and CTRL-MINUS to go into and out of directories and disk images. Your device must support this. uIEC (and all other SD2IEC devices) support both. It's really cool browsing DNP files with this tool!
Changes
Changed hotkey binding for Quit from Ctrl-Q to Ctrl-U to eliminate a conflict with the down cursor key.
Removed the about box and replaced with a simple status message. This saved 400 bytes of compiled code.
Bugs Fixed
The memory leak has been plugged. You may reload directories as many times as you like.
Known Issues
Memory is getting tight, especially on the C128. I have some ideas for how to mitigate it somewhat, but I need some assistance and guidance which I've reached out for in the cc65 community. If you load a REALLY big directory don't be surprised if it crashes as it may overflow into IO registers. |
