Hm.. I will check it out! | User Comment Submitted by NecroPolo on 17 May 2010
@radiantx: Yep, magneto-pusspull modules are worth checking, indeed :) As well as the text-editing blocks here with all the .DUR advantages/disadvantages. The same is true for trackers, there are certain things that they can't do very well and shine in other sides. I like trackers for their dynamic parameters and rhythm visualization while .dur editors for the free-rhythm way of thinkig. As far as I know, it is planned to add both editing methods in the future versions for a more familiar handling. Maybe, some new way to feed the data in, too ;)
@DRAX: Thak you, I'm glad that you like this version! Your words always mean a lot to me ;)
Also, thanks in the name of Matt Gray. Really, I did not change the original much. Added/removed some subtle things and onefiled 2 subtunes + let together their solos in the mid-part but the original was sooooooo powerful by its own right that I did not have to actually 'create' anything :)
Anyway, this arrangement might work in an audio remix, too... | User Comment Submitted by DRAX on 14 May 2010
Mean Streak kicks ass... Somehow reminds me of Demon's old style... | User Comment Submitted by Radiant on 14 May 2010
NecroPolo: Yeah, I know. I was wondering about which the strengths are here, so I can know if it's worth bothering to learn a new paradigm. :-) | User Comment Submitted by NecroPolo on 13 May 2010
@radiantx: it has an embedded turbo-mezo-muffmeg emancipator hyperflux routine that attracts women ;)
Considering GT, that is a pretty different stuff, with different evolution, goals and target area. GT is modern tracker with lots of flexibility and contemporary options, MS is a raw old-school editor with rather straight-to-the-point approach. Being a guitarist, I regard C64 music tools as instruments. I like the feel of this one and there are others that I like as well (including GT), every and each have strenghts and weaknesses. They offer the freedom of choosing the suitable tool for specified tasks :)
The interface needs a little time to get used to but after the first steps are made, it is really fast to work with. Note that it is the very first edition that stands on feet. A lot of improvements will be made, I think. | User Comment Submitted by Twoflower on 13 May 2010
Well the interface is much like an oldstyle musiceditor such as DMC or Future Composer. Supercommands (repeat, transpose, etc) are mixed in the patternlist with the numbers of the patterns. As usual, this (combined with individual pattern-lenght) leads to a quite confused interface. | User Comment Submitted by Radiant on 13 May 2010
Had a brief look at it. Wow, this sure is esoteric! What are the main advantages compared to for example GoatTracker? | User Comment Submitted by pvcf on 13 May 2010
congratulation 8) you have managed to programm a interface which i doesn't understand (i only have seen the screenshot given on your site).
