Unmistakably Leon.
The large tree looks quite realistic, the rest of the image less so.
The overall picture has a knitted from wool quality about it.
I like the cat, although it does bring into question the scale of everything else in the scene.

Serene and simple, a good composition and a good picture.
-Is not it a better and smoother experience when there is no perspective issue or bad anatomy to trouble the viewer? \;]>

Unveiling a dramatic scenery with its unconventional color scheme and cat.
There will be so much more of this kind this year…
Nice to see you make the first plot (part from Deev, JSL and others).

Twoflower is onto something interesting we have been discussing for years:
Grain, texture, textile qualities revealing spatial relationships, dimensions and scale.
Part from that another difficult issue to handle is the participation in space,
detail, portrait or landscape (composition and focal point).

Instantly recognisable excellent stile, you can spot who's created that from miles away. I can find peace in this scenery. Thanks for the nice MC experience!

@Twoflower: there is something in your point of view about the contrast. I think, the soft background just suggests the distance, the way as damp air blurs the faraway scenery.

I like the diverse use of colours, the sun shining through the grassy rocks, the water's unique dithering :) The cat is having a good time there for sure, I hope there isn't an eagle hangin' around.

Really nice contrast and fresh color-balance! Concerning the details - the spruce is really sprucy, but the hills and rocks lacks the texture to them hilly and rocky - they're simply too soft and well-pixeled.
