I have added a d81 image that was kindly provided by Lemming. I also added some d64 images for those with only a real 1541 to flash the CRT. | User Comment Submitted by Rough on 7 April 2011
Agree with MacGyver, as long as credits are given for the old crack, "re-cracking", which used to be a term only for using other's cracks WITHOUT giving credits, is okay. | User Comment Submitted by John64 on 6 April 2011
Thanks for all the positive words guys :-) I certainly want to do some more Easyflash stuff in the future (only cracking originals ofcourse).
@macx: Great that you're getting an AlienFlash cart. That one is also on my wanted list. Looks like an awesome device. | User Comment Submitted by lemming on 6 April 2011
Excellent release, John64! If you need System 3 originals, I'll gladly provide. :-) (although I don't have LN1 either, but most of their games I do)

Re-crack or no re-crack. Good work and keep it up John64! Old sceners like the lot of us can be a bit stale at starts, but once you are in the warmth we greet you like one of our own. And then you will start to appreciate that strictness yourself. Geezers with old computers.
Anyway, is there anywhere where these EasyFlash-conversions are gathered (I believe there is one for the IDE64-conversions)? If not, is it possible to implement it as a feature at CSDb (ie. like clicking on a group to see all its releases)?

@ John, thanks for some more EasyFlash stuff! Looking forward to see more.
@ all: You can think of "recracks" whatever you want.
Imho, it is a difference if someone claims someone else's work for his own, or if he improves an existing release (i.e. to support certain hardware like SuperCPU, IDE64 or EasyFlash) and gives credits.
In any case, boths kinds of recracks are part of this scene's history, present and probably also future. If you say such releases don't "belong" here, that is falsification of history and censorship. | User Comment Submitted by Slator on 6 April 2011
nevertheless you at least gave seeable credits and didn't hide it :-)
it is for sure discussable if this is more a release for the lemon forum than here.
still it is a nice job you did and we all hope you will keep up doing stuff.

I did not see the mr.z-issue until now. [edit: But I still love the release, and think it absolutely belongs here! \o/] | User Comment Submitted by John64 on 6 April 2011
@Jazzcat
For LN2 the original was used and for LN1 Mr.Z's version. So yes half of it is a recrack. I have great respect for Mr. Z and I always played his version which is a solid crack and includes all the tape loading music. I certainly didn't want to disrespectfully use his work but I used it because I like it so much. But I agree with you. I should have started from scratch so I will certainly do that next time. | User Comment Submitted by Jazzcat on 5 April 2011
This is a recrack. Nice that it works for EasyFlash, in the future, do a crack of the original and provide your own work rather than hashing other's work to your own device.
Uploading to CSDb means that there you have to follow a certain element of scene rule (although still quite loose), whereas on Lemon and places like that, anyone can upload whatever. | User Comment Submitted by hedning on 5 April 2011
Sweet! More Easyflash releases for the masses!
