Thanks, but I wouldn't exactly call it an arrangement of zoolook - the zoolook touch is completely coincidental... I first noticed it after Radiantx pointed out the association... It is the bass figure that reminds of Zoolook...

yay, zoolook :) i give you 8 thumbs for the funky arrangement bro !

1-800-drax :-D what a blast, every intro would charm itself around this masterpiece... me bows before the master, awesome

This tune is as groovy as groovy can be... and an excellent use of 57 seconds. This tune feels more like it's 2-3 minutes long... probably just because it has looped a few times ;)

Pants off, kalsongdata off, dance, crack that jazzpipe up, oil the feets and start dance and stay the funk up! Crazy jammin' <3 Crystal clear winner!

"Just a quicky..." Well.. I'd have the intro play this on repeat and leave crack for what it is. Love this one - 10!

My dick just exploded!!

Awesome intro tune from the master. I regard Drax together with JCH and Laxity as the masters of this discipline.

Submitted by Didi on 9 January 2013
@Flex: Laxity's musics were also used a lot in late 80s and early 90s intros.

No question, I vote a 10 straight away, happy to hear your new composition, Drax! Those ringmods, my God, they're so high quality, and everything else of course! \o/

simple but the melody is catchy. The Master created a great song :)

Submitted by Flex on 8 January 2013
Great great great. If anyone, I think Drax is the one to deliver the wickedest introtunes. :) Might be one hell of a competition between JCH and Drax when talking about composers behind most used introtunes in history.. Any statistics so far? :D
/edit : Not to forget JT of course...

Radiantx: funny you mention that with Zoolook - I also noticed that after a few listenings to it - definitelty not done on purpose - but the unconscious works in myterious ways ;)
User Comment
Submitted by Radiant on 8 January 2013
Rhythm section reminds me very much of Zoolook by Jarre. Nice sounds! The lead is a bit too "free form" for my taste though, but it's very skillfully executed.

Too much of impression that I've heard it somewhere :P Those ornaments in lead seem already a bit overused. Still, very enjoyable Draxy release ;)

Submitted by TSM on 6 January 2013
Holy skunk sweat! If this is "unpolished", what will happen should Drax decide to make polished stuff?

Ohhhh yes, cool stuff! I already see the logo moving on the screen and a great scroller DYSP jumping around and some other nice FX in the Intro :-)
User Comment
Submitted by DRAX on 6 January 2013
Oh, I totally missed that... You're still a bit right about the melodic thing though... My mistake - totally overlooked the date thing ;) ... I expect some Stinsen music too :)
User Comment
Submitted by Stinsen on 6 January 2013
Actually the 2012 comment was only that it said 2012 in the SID. ;) Musically you won't hear me complaining anytime soon, this is just sooooo good. I just long for more DRAXian magic. :D

Submitted by DRAX on 6 January 2013
Stinsen: I see your point about the too much melody and I kinda agree with you and actually had the same thought... About the 2013 thing I am not sure what you're referring to but I tried on purpose making it sound oldschoolish and unpolished especially lead wise as it would bring a more live feeling to it - as you might have noticed I have started to not using using so much hardrestart and even making bad ADSRs - also on purpose...

Too much melodic content to be a proper crack intro tune in my opinion, but what a !"#¤% tune. :D Btw Thomas it's 2013 now ;)

Nice how voices 2 and 3 interact in some parts of the melody!

welcome back!

cool tune, what about an extended version btw?
User Comment
Submitted by Ksubi on 5 January 2013
Very cool, love it! Although my favourite "crack tune" by you DRAX is still Kuldioxid, synonymous with an old G*P intro.

Submitted by Jon on 5 January 2013
Christ, I love this tune.

I was also a bit surprised for a sec as I was very careful to keep it under and had to cut alot of parts away to get it under...

0:58, measured with sldetect (our tool to calc md5 and times in Songlengths.txt), siddiag (older tool to do the same), sidplay/win 2.6, acid64 0.3.3 beta 8, sidplay64/shape 0.7 in VICE.

Submitted by Didi on 5 January 2013
Seems to be longer than 1:00 before repeat to me.

/edit: OK, iAN checked it to be 0:58, so it's valid. Welcome to the compo.

Just a quicky... Hope you like it... I don't think it gets more DRAXy that this :)
A big hello to Cruzer and Clarence :).... For some reason the tune is a bit low in volume so pump up the volume a bit...
