Some(!) ppl might just don't want that due to lack of time :) Not me, just saying. After all that fuss about what's wrong or not with the other versions I named the few things I'd do differently.

What may be the reason for not wanting to save the your score? It is only saved if you manage to get a new record, not after each try.

wouldn't recommend pulling out disk in this version, because file not found at least on WinVice does not disable it, but saver tries three times to find disk, so I guess on real hw this might make your drive rattle a great deal and torture its mechanic :)

what rough sez, from a gamer's perspective I think this release makes most sense of all three I checked, although it lacks trainers, which I - however - do not regard as very essential/meaningful for such kind of game. nitpickers might want hs saver explicitly with disable option (implicitly it seems to work by just turning off drive).

Fully agree on that one spot highscore-saver. I did that too a few times.
