Ah, this is lovely. I especially like the triangle harmonized parts.

Try to force yourself to have different pattern lengths running parallell at the same time. Ie, 48 steps for melody and 64 for bass. Sometimes works well. If ze tracker can deal with itz.

Thanks for the comments. It's nice to hear positive feedback, especially from C64 artists whose work I admire a lot. I wasn't sure whether to release the tune at all, because of the high standards in SID music.

I'll save some time for someone who wants to criticise the tune: It gets jarring because nothing really new happens in the arrangement after a while. It also suffers from something that's been irritating me lately, namely, doubling every part before moving to a next one. In other words, there's a melody and chord progression that resolves / comes to a conclusion, and then I repeat it - usually unchanged. Partly it's because of composing in closed (tracker) patterns, partly it's the music around us and partly it's something that's just in my system after years of doing music in trackers.

@Gerard: Drop me a mail! tempfltgmail

@Scarzix: Let's do it.

Not the best SID tune I've heard for some time, but still a very apt high score tune indeed. Good job!

Maybe you could submit this to the Tape Loader compo instead? Seems like it would fit the criteria.

Awesome, but it's way longer than 30 secs, so it should be moved to outside compo.

Just something simple to get into CheeseCutter and back to C64 composing.

@Scarzix: Damn, I knew I should've read the small print.

I'll remove this from the compo.
