@The Overkiller : Well Gamebase doesn't have absolutely everything. There's plenty of rare obscure stuff. We haven't even gone completely through all the Scenebase archives yet.

Even after all these years, we Keep. Finding. More. Games... it's incredible.

Without a doubt, adding all those features would make this and any game better, but as the article (in Spanish) explains, this game is a recreation in assembler of an old basic listing of a magazine of the time, and it was necessary to maintain the spirit of it.
Anyway I write down your indications for future projects, they are good.

@Laddh: What I mean is that there seems to be no skill involved at all in the combat. It is just pure luck. Run into monster, wait for dice, get lucky or not.
To me this feels extremely archaic and is not fun. In something like Gauntlet the monsters actually move and you can throw your attacks, which makes it a lot more fun.
I have no idea though how to make the game any better without completely changing a lot of things, but as a first step I would at least remove the dice thing and have some options like [attack|defend|use item|run] or whatever like in turnbased RPG games like Final Fantasy.
