I had a chance of running Big Pixel Intro on a really big pixel display at BalCCon conference today, from a real C64 :)

I was about to judge it quickly but all layering and masking in 4x4 is pretty sweet!

Very interesting ANSII style design here. Tune is a bit boring. Guess due to RAM restrictions...

@TheRyk: it should have been another white cloud, but I was running out of available memory, so first it became static, and then as a part of speeding up the drawing, it became yellow... So, it is a yellow cloud, bathed in the yellow sun... :)

Having this sorted out, BTT:

Fresh and cool intro with LoRes and hardscroll parallax, which I can't remember having seen done before. PETSCII gfx might have been an option to save 2K.

One question, though: What's that yellow non-sun stuff in the top left corner?

What TheRyk said, it's perfectly valid according to the rules:
" has a maximum RAM footprint of $4000 bytes at one block "
Not that it should be ending before address $4000.
It doesn't even use the normal screen mem $0400-07ff so it's perfectly fit into a 16kb contiguous block.

Quoting Rules
"a maximum RAM footprint of $4000 bytes at one block, at whatever location you like."

$0800-$47ff in my book perfectly should qualify, as the rules say nothing about all of the $4000 bytes must be in one VIC-Bank

Sadly does not qualify. $0600 bytes over. If starting at $0800, you should not go past $4000.

Music was made by Hasse Axəlsson-Svala for CRX 2020. I asked his permission to use it here. I do not know if he already has a CSDB ID or not, and if someone could help to enter music credits, that would be great.

Also, I'm almost sure that I satisfied all the compo rules, if not, please tell me and I'll try to fix the code.
