I love Electric's runner-up pic in the compo a lot, and this one is awesome too. Was a hard decision to find a favourite.

Great to see detailed workstages for it.

WOW, WOW, WOW! Shut up and take my money. Too good to be true. 11/10. I love how you use and play with all the colors to get everything so tight together. For me this is pure ART. Could be placed in any art museum.

Tastes differ, so I feel the urge to add another comment: personally, I absolutely dig this grey square! It breaks the "smoothness" of the old man's face in the most artistic way it could. Really, I love this!

Another thing concerning QCH: this mode *is* different to e.g. NUFLI with its convertor that can do a lot of magic. QCH only gives "smaller chars", so in order to get a great picture, it needs a lot of skill on the gfx'ers side!!!

@Duce: ah, no prob! You know I *love* headaches like this ;)

Thanks for all the comments and critiques!

About the gray square, I have to agree with both @Electric and @Zierliches Püppchen. It was quite hard part of pic to execute, especially the edges, but visually it didn’t came out as planned.

@Copyfault, huge kudos and thanks for the code! I’m terribly sorry I caused some headaches and gray hairs to you :)

@Zierliches Püppchen The grey square in that angle is prolly the most difficult part of the whole pic :), or what would you say, Duce?

The grey square ruins a little bit the hard work. Technically great stuff.

Extremly great picture! I'm still honoured I was allowed to support with code <3

BTW: this is *not* NUFLI! It is made in QCH-mode (made by my humble self) plus sprites in upper and lower border!
