Oh yes! One of those demo-highlights back in the days. Triangle always had that something.. perhaps I better call it just _style_ .

Demos come, demos go, many are forgotten..
Road of Excess for whatever reason remains in my memory banks. It might have something to do with the high quality hires fonts, which looked better than the competition at the time of release, and still look good today. There are many other aspects of the demo that make it worth watching.

This blew me away, even though I saw it first some 10 years after its release. How could this ever become 3rd?! All hires, immortal style.

Under-appreciated classic. This one should be in the top-10 demos of all time.

Old meets new in this demo where retro and new effects are combined. Everything looks smooth and finished. I particularly like the style in this one. The second and fourth parts look very yum, the Styxx bit made me smile and the vectors look wonderful and smooth. Nice one.

yup Randers Party kicked some serious ass..
Demo wise, booze wise , and party time ;)
That is where Geggin finally joined us ;)

Me , Euzkera & dr cool was there and last but not least Geggin, we had such a blast there with the guys in Success.

Demos absolutely Jaw dropping for its time..
it was simply surealistic that the demo had such high quality there. This was my favorite!
eventhough I was an uppfront secret fan :)
can't beleive that this demo only came third.
But we where concentrating more on the party and boozing sector of randers :)

Galactix V2.0 still is and ever will be the perfect vector-feeling-in-outer-space-track there is. It's genius.

okay, I just found it on a floppy here. Booted my old trusty C64 breadbox with my new 1541-II ... and damn! it IS the "originally composed Galactix V2.0".

I think I will ask them someday what happend. Because this is really interesting to me (history) :-D

Still, I'm happy the right tune was used instead of the short one. Very lovely.

I still have my floppies myself, so I will have to check which version was actually used in the copy I have here. Anyways, I hope you enjoyed the tune as much as I did making them both back then.

Btw. remaking the tune for a 2013 edition as we speak in the new "JCH Editor like" music editor called CheeseCutter 2.5.0 by Abaddon

Oh the Randers party. I can remember that I had promised to compose a tune, which was a tune called Galactix, but somehow it was missing from my floppies when I arrived at Triangle. As far as I recall, I sat down at the party and recomposed the piece in another version.

What I didn't know was that Lotus also used this for their Lotus Intro Tune after the party? So everyone calls it Lotus Intro Tune, except its actually Galactix V2.0 :o)

The tune in Triangle's demo was originally Galactix V1.0, but somehow this megademo was released with the correct tune which is now called Galactix V2.0

Its cool that the "actual" tune was finally put into the demo, but I am rather curious to see if my memory is doing tricks on my or there was a previous release of the megademo with the Galactix V1.0 tune instead.

Yeps, the vector part in this demo is really nice. Top notch I'd say. Even the sprite balls are really nice. And the perspective scroller is a nice touch too.
Another nice thing is the twister scroller, really nice! All in all a very good mega demo imo.

The vector part in this one is unforgettable. Such a nice atmosphere. And Scarzix has a good share in that, too. The only bad side of the whole thing is the long loading times.

Danzig, taking part in a compo doesn't have to mean it's released right away, remember?

First Megademo I ever saw. Impressed me a lot, and I still like to watch it today. Kinda paved my way into the demoscene!

Fantastic 2 sided megademo. If you survive the recyclation of loader part you will be rewarded by absolutely neat design and really cool effects throughout the whole demo. I especially like the X-Mas part and vector objects show.
