Wonderful coding effects from 1997. Demos like this paved the way for more goodness on our 64.

I wonder if it is possible to do the REAL sprite crunch thing over IFLI, or better still, over scrolling IFLI.

I miss chatting with crossbow on irc about possible tricks and thing which could be done... it was nice to see some of the idea's pop up in these little demos. He even let me see Xayne's birthday disk before anyone else, it was very nice of Roland to do that. =]

Thumbs Up!

DeeKay: I was thinking along those lines. The font does look like its formed from a limitation of types ;D

WEC: Using $d016 to tear open the screen, displaying one single byte. Though that should technically only work with one bitpattern, so the two scrollers are the tricky bit...

Great little demo.
How are those 2 lower border scrollers created?

I like this demo. There is something for everyone, but the question still arise: what would have happened if this was designed in a different way?

One of my favourite C64 demos, as I tended to like demos with hardcore coding. I especially liked the sprite multiplexer using crazy $D017 manipulation to shorten the sprite height.

Now this is what demo coding is all about, breaking records and setting new standards. Still remember the shock I got watching demo for the first time. So short but oh so sweet.
