This demo looks fantastic and shows what can be achieved with the DTV hardware. As this is new hardware with new capabilities it's nice to see someone illuminate it's potential. Nice work. | User Comment Submitted by Street Tuff on 9 November 2006
thanks to crossbow / crest who send me
a videocapture of the 1541 version of the demo.
the file is hosted on my webspace and does
not eat csdb filespace (just in case you wanted to whine around...)
edit:
crossbow provided a vidcap of the 1581 version aswell.
just added it :)

@oswald
sure... go ahead! | User Comment Submitted by Oswald on 8 November 2006
yeah, well what else would a c64 coder start with other than opening the borders on dtv aswell... How about making graham's raster plasma on dtv ? should be a piece of cake and with this HW it would look awesome. | User Comment Submitted by Tch on 8 November 2006
Hahahahahahahahahaha...
(No disrespect Oswald,but that picture kinda rocks! ;) ) | User Comment Submitted by jailbird on 8 November 2006 User Comment Submitted by tlr on 8 November 2006
Although it looks like just a simple picture it's quite a lot of work displaying this in overscan without bugs, especially on NTSC.
The overscan mode is broken on the DTV, and there's no VIC-Article for it either... ;)
The code is separately timed for both PAL and NTSC as you need to do splits every line.
On NTSC there is an additional vertical line visible on the left side that you need to make black, which was a quite tricky as it depends on the instruction fetch.

well maybe its time to do some real coding on dtv instead of showing pictures... |
