I'm pretty sure P.P. Hammer used this protection also. | User Comment Submitted by CenTraX on 3 February 2008 User Comment Submitted by Burglar on 13 December 2007
it's a system to master an original game, including copy protection, file crunching, etc. | User Comment Submitted by Stainless Steel on 13 December 2007
anyone care to write a little something about this tool explaining what it is ? | User Comment Submitted by tlr on 13 December 2007
Yes, this is really sweet. I especially like the seamless $0328 autostart.
The collection includes an RLE cruncher, sequence packer + level packer.
It can master without protection too.

Ubi Soft used betskip in a 1991 compilation called "MultiOps" containing "Aspar GP","Rick Dangerous" and "Pick'n Pile".
I have the dump here, sent me by Mustaine/HF. | User Comment Submitted by Burglar on 13 December 2007
nice one!
I remember getting a copy of a betaskip protected game at the GP party in 92 for the cracking compo. Glanced at it there, but impossible to do at a party, got more important things to do then ;)
Anyway, looked at it further when I got home, quite an interesting system and hard to crack. got quite far in cracking it, but lost interested as there were too many other things to crack. (and the game it protected was already out for a long time).
As far as I know, this protection was never used commercially, but could be wrong. |
