This font maybe comes from the game 'Robin of The Wood', Gfx by Stuart Fotheringham. http://www.c64.com/games/no-frame.php?showid=476&searchfor=Robi..

Any news about the origin of the 1x1 charset?

Was the logo font really done by Conan (or maybe Jekle?) And who the heck did the 1x1? I've seen it so many times but still got no clue where it originates from, probably a game, guessing from its style. It's used in Heroes of the Lance which credits James McDermott as graphician, but this is very probably bullshit as the font is years older and the HoTL developers seemed to have just ripped it happily.
