..... in an alternate universe, C128 Debugger v0.128 ...
... one has to dreeam a little ! | User Comment Submitted by Slajerek on 8 March 2018
iAN CooG: you're right upx -d changes the binary (of course), and thus the signed app is not valid anymore. In addition to upx -d the signing of the app must be stripped too. | User Comment Submitted by Bacchus on 7 January 2018
This is still a *fantastic* piece of software. I use this and Vice in parallel to do my stunts. | User Comment Submitted by iAN CooG on 30 December 2017
upx -d makes the exe not runnable anymore | User Comment Submitted by Slajerek on 30 December 2017
Thanks for comments.
Yes, the Vice monitor is not hooked yet, I tried this but found strange issues, current monitor is a kind of workaround for this temporarily and definitely I plan to have classic Vice monitor console included too... will be soon :)
Executable is packed using UPX and then code is signed, the same way as previous version. Interesting that your AV found problem only with this version, I did not have this issue on my setup... anyway, you can try to unpack the exe and see if the problem persists. | User Comment Submitted by iAN CooG on 28 December 2017
ah now I see, this doesn't come with normal vice monitor, I see now what the difficulty is. | User Comment Submitted by iAN CooG on 28 December 2017
la-style: you're using a wrong command for setting bytes
> 1000 ad
> 1234 ad 01 20
etc, that's how it should be used
filling a single byte is a contradiction in terms ;)
Anyway filling a single byte
f 1000 1000 ad
works for me in VICE, even if it's overkill for setting just one or two bytes, use > | User Comment Submitted by Frantic on 28 December 2017 User Comment Submitted by lA-sTYLe on 28 December 2017
In Monitor i always have to select a range of atleast 2 Bytes to fill a memory Location. You are not able to fill just 1 byte. It always has to be atleast F 1000 1001 31, I cant to F 1000 1000 31 | User Comment Submitted by Viscid on 27 December 2017
Yes, i definately don't blame it on the tool but on the scanner. I decided to make an exclusion for this special file, but anyhow it's a very wellused scanner (Avira) and even if Virustotal reports it as no virus, it's blocked by the real one. Older Versions of the Debugger work, so maybe go back to the old Header? | User Comment Submitted by chatGPZ on 27 December 2017

having there virusscanner issue here aswell. strangely it got introduced with the latest version. did not have that in the previous versions? | User Comment Submitted by soci on 27 December 2017
What about compiling from sources? ;) | User Comment Submitted by Viscid on 27 December 2017
I'm not able to use the Windows-Version as most virusscanners actually block it. I guess this is related to something like an UPX-header or whatsoever. Is there any workaround (except of turning the scanner off)? --> Pattern "HEUR/APC (Cloud)" found | User Comment Submitted by lA-sTYLe on 27 December 2017
Is it possible to Remap the Keys ond Joystick somhow. I am stuck using Tab for Joystick Fire for years now :-) couldnt find anything in the readme about that. | User Comment Submitted by Dr.j on 26 December 2017
