Handlestory :
When I worked for Norm's Vending in Juneau AK. USA in 1984, one of our accounts was the telephone company. One day I needed to use their restroom, and I saw a copy of a magazine titled "Telephony" on the cistern lid; I thought it was pronounced "tel uh FOAN'ee" and so the name stuck -- with that pronounciation too.

Trivia :
I wrote the intro for Hardline #10 for BDS (Brain Damage Studios): Icebreaker (Andrew Krepela) wanted rotating skulls and some zax that needed ripping coded into the intro. I was granted membership in BDS a short time thereafter.
