ComBär... sounds weird! But isn't. Computer/Bär(Berlin).
Anyways,
this was the first meeting for Prof. Pi² and me in Berlin. We thought that the ComBär is a good start to get active in Berlin.
We had our booth in the entrance-hall, where all visitors had to take their tickets.
The organizers gave us a good place to get attractive and nearly all visitors had a look at our booth.
But it was friggin cold!!! I already was ill at the start of ComBär, but I thought I must die in the cold.
We had hot tea and the orgas sponsored us with hot coffee and some bread rolls.
A big video monitor (25 inches) showed IDE64 Demo "Weekend", with dancemat Giana Sisters was played, Bombmania Sessions were held and on other monitors, Demos were showed, Goodies like X1541 cable, Joysticks, CD-Roms were lying around the table.
The ComBär staff at the entrance first was a bit annoyed about the unknown 'bleebs&blops' but later the people where starring on the monitors and were stunned about the cool graphics and the crazy music.
From now on, we had a place on the ComBär, we're known as the C64-Freax and are welcome anytime. :) What a good start
