Event id #458 : Venlo Meeting June 1990
I recently came across an old calendar of my parents, and there is an entry saying that I went to Venlo Meeting on 16th of June 1990. CSDb says the meeting took place on 23rd of June 1990, that's one week later. I'm confused: Was there more than one meeting per month? Can anyone confirm the date? |

No, Venlo took place every third Saturday of the month. Maybe the moved the date up becausee the 3rd Saturday in that month was pretty late or for summer holiday reasons. |

The 16th is in fact the 3rd saturday of the month. According to CSDb, all other Venlo meetings in 1990 (except December) were on the 3rd saturday of the month as well.
The funny thing is that most of the releases here in CSDb that were released on Venlo Meeting June 1990 have a release date of 22nd or 23rd June.
For instance:
Demo Drome I: Intro says "A Venlo Release", "Released on 22 June 1990".
Frontpage #6: Intro says "Released in Venlo! Date: 23/06/1990"
Illegal: Directory says: "Spread on 23-6-1990! In Venlo ofcoz"
So maybe the meeting was planned for 16th, but then postponed to 23rd? |

A new twist to the mystery: To be precise, my parents calender only says that I went to *Venlo* on 16th of June 1990. It doesn't explicitly say that there was a Venlo *Meeting*. So, maybe we went to Venlo but the party wasn't there. The funny thing is that I believe the party was there, but maybe it's a false memory...
Maybe I should re-read all scrolltexts of all my releases from 1990 and 1991 again, to see if I wrote something about that. :-) |
