Event id #815 : Solar + BlackMail party
Does anybody have more info about this party? I vaguely remember something about it being in Papendrecht, and I even think Heathcliff (who was in Focus later) was an organizer. But I'm not even sure *when* this took place, either late 1989 or early 1990 I think .. Emorphia/Powers of Pain mentions some of their members being there, and greets me as Tdj/WWE so it can be both of those .. |

I remember it too vaguely, the flashbacks that come to mind:
Old n Wasted Parts Collection by Blackmail was released there.
Reyn was the rising star at that party and I got a copy of his Music Assembler disc, I think.
Saw the first bits of Dutch Breeze and met Orc there, even got a compliment from him, or was it my imagination. Anyhow, I joined Blackmail at that party, or at least started swapping graphics with Orc.
Papendrecht sounds familiar, at least somewhere around Rotterdam.
A big hole in the ground, sort of snakepit.
I think I drove along with Blo/Vision who was in Twilight at that time, Jip/Twilight visited that party too I think, 2 friendly guys.
Could be some Density and Scoop members visited the party aswell.
That's all I can remember. |

If so, then the party was in 1989 (which feels right to me somehow).
I'll check that demo to see if there's anything about the party in it.
edit: the demo mentions a party at 9.12, and later 'our party', so I guess that's the date. Thanks man! |
