Release id #237347 : The Prisoner &S

Please enlight me about an old doubt I have since ever:

following the Standards and the common sense, if your crack doesn't add any trainer among the addons, still does it need the "+" in the crack's suffixes or not? This release suggests a "no", others, like e.g. Invest and Win +TGD say that "yes".

It's debatable. We in GP use & for "and" when there is no trainer, as + already stands for trainer. It's confusing to use + for two different things in our opinion. So common sense for us is to use + for trainer only.

We will keep on naming our releases that way, and some other groups do the same. Also: It's not a new thing, as you can find & being used both in the 80s and 90s.

hedning does this usage of & interfere with the usual meaning of "music added"?

& for music has only been used in filetags on disk, never in release names, right? Same goes for # for docs - it's never used in a release name (there D is used instead). Using + for two different reasons (meaning trainer and "and") seemed too confusing, and was the reason we started to use & instead - we did not come up with it btw. It was used before as well.

It is what it is, and one day CSDb might come up with a standard that should be used here despite what the groups name their releases. Until then: this is it.

Right, you can use both +TGD and &TGD here if you want

...And % to indicate "with intro" probably has been used as filetag on disk only too, following & for the added music (which doesn't have a corresponding one for the releases' names) and # for the docs (which does have a corresponding one as D).

Thank you, now that's far more clear.
