SPACE FOR C64 ???

What kind of space do you have for C64 ?
Do you keep it in cardboard box and put it in livingroom when needed ? Or do you have a proper room for it ?

I have kept my C64s in storage.... boxes, storage rooms....
But now when we bought our own house, I have started to build own room for my C64s C128s Amigas and other computers.

Just curious how others do it ?
(I suppose girlfriends and wifes aren't Commodores best friends :) )

My C128D is not working right now, but when it is, i have it under my PC-monitor (the PC is on the floor ;) ), and the c128 keyboard behind/infront of my pc-keyboard. Doesn't really take up any room. The extra diskdrives are on top of my TV.

I have my control center in front, the PC, and when I turn 90 degrees to right, I have my C64. (2nd table)

I've put my C64 into the TV-card, so I have it on the desktop as wallpaper, window or fullscreen.

C64 has never been in a closet or loft, it was not used many times, but it was always there.

I hope it will keep working some more time.. :)

i got my 3 c64s on a large table (can be seen at cbmgallery.com, once franky puts the pics up), next to them i got an extra desk for my pc and additional junk. behind that, on a shelf i got my amiga500 build up, tho it's not in use anymore at all. all in all, this is a 5x2 room, so there ain't any space left for anything else.

rambones, connecting the c64 to the tvcard is a somewhat nice idea, i wonder why i didn't get that idea earlier =)

I have one room in my flat dedicated to computers. There is always atleast 2 c64's hooked up and ready to go. One is running my board Antidote 24/7 (connected to the net via an old Pc acting as a gateway). The other one is free for use. Then I have 3 pc's running aswell, and 2 closets filled with old hardware (including some amigas, msx and consoles). Glad I have a room for all that, but if I ever can afford to buy a house, it will be one with a basement.. ;)

Have a small 'control center' - my nerd room.. my office.. which only consists of computers and computer stuff. So my C64 breadbox is setup on the table with a Philips 8833 monitor, which is also connected to my Amiga 2000 which is placed below the table - I can switch between the C64/A2000 picture on the monitor. Then there is a few PC's, all connected to the same monitor/keyboard/mouse using an Aten switch (Aten produces to my experiences the best picture compared to other KVM switches). Then my Amiga 4000 have it's own place at the table. The room is not that big, so it is pretty crowded - especially all C64/Amiga diskboxes takes up some space :o) Scary to think of, that they could all be on maybe 1 or 2 DVD medias today ;o)

I have a long desk attached to the wall. From left to right there are an Amiga 1200, the my PC, then the amplifier on which everything is connected, then a N64 and an Snes, then my C64 with 3 drives (1571, 1541 and 1581) and also an PS2. All the consoles and the C64 are connected to a normal TV. Also have a SX-64 standing around for when i go outside... ;)
