I have the PO12 and PO14. Really awesome pocket operators and when TE will release the 3 new POs. The Arcade is next in line :P

Thanks for bringing it up here!
Yeah, I had the privilege of being brought in as some kind of 8-bit consultant, and essentially got free hands in designing the software and sounds for these machines. So I ripped out nearly all of the code from the earlier models and started over. That being said, the good people at Teenage Engineering were quite involved, so they also deserve credit.
The PO-24 contains authentic hardware noise, recorded with contact microphone from my very own C64, 1541, A1200 and Panasonic printer. So yes, this belongs in "C64 Composing". =) |

I've added more material over here, including a press interview and a third-party tutorial.
@FATFrost: You mean some kind of cartridge for the C64 that lets you make music in the style of C64? That's a bit... Well, I can't think of an equivalent English proverb right now, but in Sweden we say you shouldn't cross the river to get water. =) |

@lft, sorry I meant a hardware interface with switches and knobs with audio outputs, and sequencing capabilities without using the keyboard and maybe have some I/o for LEDs and other things to control in the style of an arduino. I think a unit that sits under the c64 that connects at the back also and sticks out a little at the front so it feels like an all in one device for beat mashing as well. Maybe i'll sketch up a design... ;) |
