SID tunes for Commodore128 in 2MHz mode
Hello all,
I wonder if there is any SID tune playing samples or any music routine taking advantage of the 2MHz mode of the Commodore 128. Teoretically the Commodore 128 could replay samples at higher quality than the Commodore 64.
There are a few examples of SID tunes for C128 (C64Music/MUSICIANS/H/Hubbard_Rob/Last_V8_C128_version.sid), but I guess they take advantage only of the extended RAM, not of the faster CPU.
thanx

Modplay128 comes to mind, afaik it has a higher quality samplerate than the 64 (apart from being able to load bigger modules). |

oh that reminds me my groupmate Riddler once told me that Trident did some 128 specific tunes, but since I don't have a 128 i never asked for them :(
Mind you this was years ago and my memory is a bit dodgy, but you could mail Trident and ask him.

Written compositions are on C128 in BASIC v7.0:

RaMoS: I can't imagine that BASIC v7.0 music makes use of the 2MHz possibilities...
Too few demos were made for native 128 mode. |

well, c64 is capable of playing 44 khz samples (but it takes probably thw whole rastertime :D). i guess higher quality is not necessary :D |

What about 16-speed SID @ 2MHz? :) |
