Thanks for releasing the source etc and explaining the title. Nice _little_ screen. | User Comment Submitted by DKT on 2 January 2020
Multicolor in 4k intro looks gooood.... | User Comment Submitted by psych on 14 December 2019
Everything is just great here. Love it! | User Comment Submitted by wacek on 27 November 2019
Full sources with comments and binaries included. Enjoy! :) | User Comment Submitted by Smasher on 25 November 2019
@Wacek+Doc: ok, ok, let's raise the level. what about... "double meaning coding"? :) brainless example:
lda $c508,y
sta $cd01
cmp $08
ora #$f0
...some code and data for a beautiful rasterbar at the same time. pfff. :)
we should do a compo with that one day. | User Comment Submitted by wacek on 25 November 2019
Dr Science, overwriting init code is also here :)
jsr destroyable_init :) | User Comment Submitted by Dr.Science on 25 November 2019
Absolutely cool minimalistic intro with great style! Love it!
@Smasher & Wacek: Talking about hiding code, check out my little contribution 4k Intro (Invaders): a simple F d800 dc00 01 will show you the hidden code ;-)
But there is more as we are at it - ofcourse you can overwrite init stuff (IRQ Init, Screen setup, PAL/NTSC detection) as you need it only once. I did it in that 4k intro and it saves you some more bytes ;-) | User Comment Submitted by spider-j on 24 November 2019
This. Really nice in every single piece: music, gfx and code execution! | User Comment Submitted by Motion on 24 November 2019
Seriously cool work, guys. Wicked tune, too! | User Comment Submitted by wacek on 24 November 2019
Hey ZeSmasher, I don’t claim I did it here as some kind of breakthrough, just mentioned it to clarify the intro name ;) I am sure plenty of people use it, I myself did it first time in 1997 in Inside :) | User Comment Submitted by Slator on 24 November 2019
I like this, very stylish and fine for such a small thing. great work | User Comment Submitted by Smasher on 24 November 2019
"hiding" code and data on screen is quite common practice. sprites for the floppy in lame intro Messy Messi Intro share the same area as bitmap (this is why screen is black next to mr.Messi).
hey Wacek, if you win the Nobel prize pls remember to share it with the guys here :) | User Comment Submitted by Krill on 24 November 2019
Finally a sideborder scroll that's both warranted AND actually implemented. =) And yeah, nice minimalist design. | User Comment Submitted by Compyx on 24 November 2019
Pretty nice.
@wacek: so that's the trick eh? :) | User Comment Submitted by Yogibear on 24 November 2019 User Comment Submitted by Oswald on 24 November 2019 User Comment Submitted by wacek on 23 November 2019
In case you are wondering about the name... this is a 'debug' view of the intro ;) All the code, tables, data etc is hidden in the screen you're looking at.

yeaah! smart use of colors in scroll | User Comment Submitted by Joe on 23 November 2019 User Comment Submitted by hedning on 23 November 2019 User Comment Submitted by Flotsam on 23 November 2019
Less is more. This looked nice in the preview pic and I was sure the scroll area was going to bounce and flash and what not. I'm glad it doesn't. Music - fits perfectly, wouldn't expect anything less from the maestro. | User Comment Submitted by Smasher on 23 November 2019
